I've kind of always had a thing for station wagons. Probably has a little to do with the fact that my first car was a 1989 Cavalier SW. Such a practical car and it served me well as a 16 year old and kept on running after I had a couple minor accidents even.

Went through a couple other cars and ended up with another wagon a couple years ago. A peppy little Mazdaspeed 3. Loved that turbo!

And now I'm got a classic...and one with 4wd none the less! :)

Replaced the front grill with a Spirit grill and clear turn signal lenses. And got some chrome ventshades for the windows.

Might be trying to figure out how to mount this brush guard I found for a '96 Ranger.

:Welcome:to the forum. Looks like you evolved in your wagon ownership. The brushguard looks nice as is. Maybe add a little duct tape over those bumper gaps and enjoy it. :rofl2:

I'm well acquainted with eaglefreek. He actually stopped in MO to have lunch with me on his way to CO where he just picked up his new beast!!!

CatModelT, yeah the brush guard needs to be lowered by an inch or two...maybe more to sit where it needs to, but overall I was pretty surprised how closely it fit.

If you put that brush guard on there, I won't be your friend anymore. :disagree: It might look alright to me, if you took the headlight guard "wings" off of it.

I tend to agree with EF here, I think I'd leave it off entirely, you have a great looking stock wagon. :2cents:

I'm glad someone else said it. I really hate that brush guard on that gorgeous and original Eagle. I truly hope you leave it off. The car is much too pretty to slap on a nonconforming piece. I think it would be a travesty. But...that's just me.

Found the entire guard on CL for 65 bucks. Couldn't pass up at least seeing how it would look...or how close it fit. The quick mock up I did is obviously not a good fit. If I were to fabricate a way to mount it I would make sure it conformed better to the front end. Also I have original Marchal Fogs that would replace those big round ones. If I don't do the brush guard I will add the fogs to the bumper like on the stock Eagles.

I've had a lot of people on the Eagle forums saying they'd rather it not have the wings over the headlights.

Here is another Eagle that has pretty much the same setup without the wings. Looks pretty good.

:Welcome: I see you've got the pot stirring. Good luck with your decision.

But if we're voting I too like it better without...JMO...it's your car.:)

Yeah, I guess the pot is stirring a bit! :)

It is ultimately my car and I'll do what I want, but that doesn't mean I don't value other peoples opinions.

While everyone is on an "IMHO Mindset" I also fabbed up a Kammback/Gremlin wind deflector last weekend to see how it would.

The width is nice. The mounts make the angle wrong and as you can see also line up right on my hatch hinges. With some different mounts the angle could be set properly and avoid the hinges.
