Okay ya'll, still not sure that this is the correct place to start a new newbe thread, so if not, feel free to let me know and perhaps point me in the right direction. Hiya guys, Came across your site by accident while searching for parts for my latest 4 wheeled charity case. Checked it out and thought it looked rather cool, so here I am. You'll have to bear with me, I'm new at this forum thing. What got me started was an 87 Caprice white/wood that a kid had gotten from an older couple that stopped driving. He had big plans for the car, (all of which made me cringe) but no money to put them or for that matter even the car as she sat into motion. With the assistance of his parents prodding to get that "thing" out of their drive, I brought the old girl home. I view it more as a vehicular rescue than a purchase. Two years later, I came across the 88, same color scheme, I always thought it would be fun to have twins. And then just last week, I found the 85 (another white/wood) with 60k on it, triplets, Yeaaa! Unfortunately, the 85 had tangled with a deer out west someplace before I got her and is going to need some body parts, But other than the header, hood and L fender, she's near perfect. Anyway, that's my story, or at least a small part of it. And here all this time, I felt so alone with my wagon fixation! LOL Later, William ---- in South Florida
As a fellow newbe i would like to you to this great community of car lovers, everyone on here is very helpful and just fun to chat with. hope you enjoy as much as i have.
Welcome wanderlust and you are in the right place for a welcome thread. If you got some pictures of your wagons share them with us, we like pictures. Glad you were able to stumble upon the site.
wanderlust you seem to be doing a real fine job of stumbling. You stumbled on to a fun place with a few station wagon lovers on board. Even a few members in Florida. and enjoy the forum as you stumble around with your flock of wagons.
Pictures Okay folks, I've attempted a number of times to upload photos, but to no avail. Is there a trick that I’m missing or are my lack of computer skills starting to show?
Yes to both of those questions. Hopefully someone will come to your rescue. I failed computers for dummys myself.
You made it CONGRATULATIONS Nice to meet you William. However... Now you need to figure out how to post pictures... As you travel around the site you'll come across "Sticky" these will give you useful info like how to post pictures. If you have any problems you can just PM any of the Moderators or Wagonmaster.
