Took some "steelies" I had bought at the salvage yard a while back to get them sandblasted and painted. Going to put them on the 96 Roadmaster, with "spider caps" or "dog dishes". The factory wheels look pretty tired, faded, scuffed etc. Also replaced the dead stock radio with a new CD player that has a USB port so I can play music off my iPod. Got a cargo cover and net from E-Bay also and a "dashmat" to cover up the faded and dried out dashpad. As for the 73 Ford I've just been enjoying it. Oh yeah,on the Roadmaster I took the plastic pieces on the C-pillar along with a used rear bumper cover to the body shop to get them resprayed. My goal is to make the Roadmaster at least look good from 20ft away....

I went out to take a few pics but he already had her cleaned out. But the rest of the garage is really in a mess. We are thinking about extending our garage to store Fannie in over the winters. Hubby's brother has been dropping off excess lumber from his job sites, so we almost have enough to do the job. My plan is to get Fannie and all the nesscessary parts ready to take to the body guy and while she's there we can build the addition to the garage. As for having her running this year, I hope so but it will all come down to the usual stuff...time and money. :yup:

Spring is here it won't be long you'll have your baby on the road soon, crusin down the highway...smilin...:D all the way.

Well, not the Safari, but the S10 Blazer - the PO did a crappy install of the stereo and we picked up one heck of an electrical "short".

I had to take the drivers seat out so I could lay on my back and work around the A/C ducting and everything else in the way. I think I now have a "long"?

Anyway, it is back together, everything works as it should including the stock stereo which works great and looks better than the aftermarket one in it when we got it.

What this means is, now I can work on the Safari.

Can't wait to see it Sunday. We will probably have to wash all the drool and finger prints off our cars. I am hoping to find some nice bezels and hood inserts for my car. Hopefully a good front bumper too

Don't ever buy a cheap shifter for your automatic tranny. You get what you pay for. Last night I spent fabbin' up linkage. Next time I get another Lockar.

Swapped out the old points distributor for a new HEI on my 72 safari. Still gotta throw the timing light at it, just got it dialed in by ear right now. Starts a hell of a lot easier and seems to havea lil more get up and go.
