The day I put steel rims and brand new tires, fresh out of the tire shop.
I'm parked at Mile Zero where the Trans Canada highway begins, a 100feet behind me is a cliff and the Pacific Ocean.

If you look hard over the truck box you can see Mt Baker, in Washington State.

Well....yesterday I traded the truck and kinda feel, I could have tooken the cash but took 100 hours labour @ $25 a hour. A friend of my daughter will be taking it once the hours are done, all the hours will be work done around the house and he's gona start this week. He's a good guy, been friends with my girl since highschool. He's allways wanted the truck, his Mom had a lite green one as he was growing up.

So yesterday we made the deal.

Funny, I jimmy rig fixed the 3 on the tree colum and I can drive it but Devan could'nt....and he knows how to colum shift:rofl2:

Went for a nice drive yesterday, truck ran great! Not washed, a bit dusty, dirty, but this is how it looks today. I think it's held up pritty good.

The only thing bad on the entire truck is the bottom of the drivers front fender but the rest of the steel every where is solid. I have extra fenders rust free, and it's missing one wiper arm.

You know, Tedy....I have witnessed your benevolent attitude here for years now and have commented on it several times. I know how much that truck means to you and I know how much money it would bring in the right market. I also know what your family means to you and how you always make caring decisions regarding them. I've seen that same caring response regarding your neighbors and all people in general. I've said in many posts that you are a "good guy". Well...I'm not sure "good guy" covers it. To basically "give" that truck that you love to someone that your daughter has befriended is over the top. Your empathy and perception, in reading the feelings that your daughter's friend has for the truck and his past memories of a similar truck that his mom had, led you, in your mind and heart, to simply do a wonderful thing. The Tedy thing. Make the kid and your daughter happy with no consideration what ever of your own sacrifice of time, work, love and expense that you have spent on your cool old truck.
Over the past years here I have developed, in my mind, kind of a short list and a secondary longer list of those wagon family members that I would love to meet and shake their respective hands. You are way up there on that short list.
Kudos, Tedy. You are a helluva guy.

I allwready miss the thing, even though it's still in my posesion. I'll be snapping some way better pics of it inside and out before it goes. It's gona be a tite summer $ wise and I want things done to the house that I'm just not going to be able to do so the trade for labour work for me as I would have to hire people and it keeps $ in Devans pocket to do things to the truck. $ wise, My last work day is March 23 and I go for mouth surgary on the 26th and to be honest I may have to leave work before then as....F***, it hurts! To keep it short and sweet, all top teeth removed, bone (upper jaw) work..... I'm out of comition for awile.

On a side note.... Sheeze Fox, Ya didn't have to say all that, about family etc:oops:.... My honey is going to Mexico next Saterday for 7 days. She was going to cancel her trip but I said NO! Told her, the dogs will look out for me....and Tia I allwready know is gona drive me nuts as mother hen:rofl2:

I will be thinking of you on the 26th and pulling for you to come out with perfect results and get back here as soon as you are able. You know I mean it.:yup:

I haven't hung out here as much as I should lately, and don't know you as well as the others, but once again 'Fox has summed up everything. From what I've seen of your posts, this is bang on and there's nothing that could be added to 'Fox's statements. Yer a helluva guy!

Interesting to know about the mile marker for the Trans-Canada Highway. I always had it in my head that it started at Fannie's end.
