Yup. Had a pair that I liked - a lot. Orange and brown primarily. Around the time we got married - 1974. Wish I had a picture for you boys. I wuz a sharp-dressed man as they say......
Now we're talkin real music! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pn2-b_opVTo I know many of you don't care for Nickelback, but I love all their music and seen them in concert 6 times, they put on a excellent show and sound just as good live as they do on album, which is VERY rare. They did an excellent remake of the ZZ Top classic, Sharp Dressed Man http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1CnergqNJ38&feature=related
Now I feel like I'm back in college..............Nickelback has a HUGE college following. That is just all about I heard from '04-'08, along with some deep, irritating hard core pop rap........then here I come rollin in my red '77 Country Squire listening to ZZ tops Sharp Dressed Man on the FM dial or some Zeppelin on 8 track. LOVED the "huh" looks I got
Don't really care for the newer music, which to me is the last 15 years or so. I like Steely Dan, and the solo stuff that Donald Fagen did afterwards.
i like steely dan. but music that transports me, james taylor, livingston taylor, the eagles, orleans....if you have XM/Sirius the whole of the "the bridge". it takes me to the Fla Keys. i rememeber the first trip to the keys (solo) it was awesome. i had a jeep at the time. i got to my hotel and took off my doors and roof...and just drove. the radio station i settled on was Keys fm. it played soft rock and two of the songs i remember were "lyin eyes" by the eagles and "her town" by james taylor
Im with ya....as far as Im concerned...they pretty much stopped writing music about the same time they stopped building cars....about 1987 sure...theres a few exceptions...but not many....on both accounts steeley dans 4 disc set...has been permantly been in my changer for years
