Just spoke to a buddy of mine who does body work. He going to get me a price to pull the wood grain and trim, fix the minor dents and shoot it with a pearl white. The reclaimation is underway!

We do have a 'Project' section, so you can post all the work there if you'd like.

Dang! (I know I'm from the other side of the world, but I can still say dang if I want to.....consarn it).

I've been trying to convince my wife that she wants to take the kids on a road trip in the US of A. That would be PERFECT! Unfortunately, she wants to go to Fiji.

I don't even know if they have wagons in Fiji. :(

    :D

Well hot dang, sounds like a plan. Send your wife and kids to Fiji and send yourself over here. Sounds like a dang good plan to me.

And to get her to tag along, lay some Florida and California magazines around showing those skantily clad beach babes.
She will either go with you-----or you're goin to Fiji!:slap:

A lot to see here, mikmak. Even some of us natives haven't seen a lot of our own country. I'm from California, and have been to Hawaii, but road travelling I've never been farther east than Utah.....only seen most of the western U.S.

If you're planning a U.S. trip, do a lot of research and figure out what you're 'must see''s will be. You won't be able to do it all. If you want to do coast-to-coast, with some minor side trips, plan for 10 days minimum. 14 would be better. Approx 3,000 miles coast-to-coast (4,828 km)

Yup, Australia and America are pretty close in size, so I've got a good picture of the distance required. My parents just came back from a tour of the east coast (mostly the north end) but it's difficult to choose!

As for the hotties in bikinis, my wife would give them a good run for their money. :D

Australia's a bit bigger than I thought it was - I was thinking maybe 2/3rds the distance east-west!

Yep, we're huge, but our population (22million) is about 8% of the US (312million). Even our population density is only 7.3ppl/sq mile vs. your own 87.4. Most of our population is on the eastern seaboard with massive empty space west of there. Western Australia, for example, has only 2.3ppl/sq mile.

I think I'll make a thread about this so we don't hijack the Caprice thread anymore....
    Sorry OP!

A couple months from now and I would be interested in making an offer, even tho it has a red interior. But I need to get home to NY and get to work first. Right now, the best I MIGHT be able to offer is not going to buy it.
