1969 Citroen station wagon. Make a great restoration project, this car is complete with exception of broken backglass. It is an automatic with air conditioner both items fairly rare. It is not running and hasn't since the late 80s car will have to be trailered or towed at buyers expense We are taking all reasonable offers over $500.00 call 785-608-1409 between 8:00&6:00 thank you. must be removed from property soon , pics on the flatbed were taken with the car wet paint is not that good.

Can't believe where the spare tire is. This would be a fun project for a late model engine. Cheap enough for a start. So many nice projects.

Those Ds21's are really cool.....but I bet would cost a FORTUNE to restore!

I love the looks of those ugly things. The cost of restoring is why it would make a cool rod project with a late model anything engine and drive train. So many modern engines to choose from.

WOW! NICE FOR SOMEONE WITH A TRAILER AND THE TIME!
For those who may be interested in a Citroen D-Series; the following applies when inquiring about one to buy:

(1): Does it have the LHM GREEN-FLUID; or the older Red-Fluid?
For United States Imports; the half-year model 1969 1/2 was the first introduction of the LHM Fluid. Previously; with the Red-Fluid hydraulic systems, because it was essentially a brake fluid, moisture would enter the tubing system and rust it from the inside out. the European Models introduced the Green-Fluid several years earlier.
The correct name: hydropneumatic self-leveling suspension system.

(2): Are the tires in good condition?
The stock tires for the D-Series were not a common size:
Michelin Tyres: 185 HR 15 XVS-P

I have been told that this was an identical size to a Ferrari model. I had to order man from Paris a number of years ago.

My Safari is a 1969 1/2 model. It has the LHM Fluid; while retaning the 1960's style dashboard. For Citroen Nuts; this is important.

Good Luck; to whoever gets this great project!

Oh boy! Don't even think of it! That s-box Kia will seem like a gift from heaven if you start fixing up a derelict Citroen.
Having said this, I love orphans, the wierder the better so it's a good thing I have no parking space and this is far away.
Looks solid enough from here, it ought to make some masochist Francophile very happy.

ROSS!!! You're back! Guess what. I am going to be moving to Chicago some time in March. Oh, and don't worry I am not buying another project. With any luck I will have a 1982 Granada Wagon in prime condition that has been garaged and has only one owner. But that is still weeks away.

Popular parade trick here is to drive a Citroen sedan of this generation with only 3 wheels mounted on the car. Three tires on the ground and the fourth airborne!
Does that work on a wagon, too?

I have always loved the looks of these cars. I know nothing about them except that I would like to have one. If I had the time and energy, I swear, I would buy this car. :yup:

I alway wanted one of these since the first time seeing one in National Lampoons European Vacation. This is however the very first time I've ever seen the wagon version. Very cool and of course very complex, in terms of what I'm used too.

Some hot rodder took a sedan ID19 and stuffed a Chevy LS1 into it...

The wagon would make an interesting platform for some kind of different drivetrain. I would keep it front wheel drive - maybe stuff a turbo V6 or something under the hood.

Too cool, indeed! I, too, really like the weird designs that several of the Citroens, especially the older ones.

There is some one here in Joplin with a great looking Citroen that is kind of like the one below except that theirs is only a 2 door hatchback... Does anybody know what kind of model it is?
