    I would have offered the guy $1300 and kept the lot. Pull all of the good stuff off of the mangled one and then send it to the scrap yard.

    dont know that much about the old chevys........but it had a motor! And it was in fair condition.

    said in a low low whisper................ the guy I hauled it for ripped the radiator out with a crowbar since it was worth $50 by itself.......destroyed it.

    Recently my 22 year old scrapped our 1977 Concord Dodge powered motorhome. Bought it in 1978. :( He got a lot from that radiator.
    Nearly cried. So many memories.

    Actually the buttcrack in the second picture made me puke .... the other's just made me cry! LOL

    I have ran into situations like that before and I try to coinvince the guy (or sometimes the widow) to let me deal with the disposal and give them the proceeds. Its usually just the matter of calling a few friends!
