Hello all. Found this site a week ago while searching for wagon pics. I currently drive a vehicle I call a wagon. But I think it is technically a microvan. It is a 2006 Mazda5.
It's kinda wagon-ish Those things are reminiscent of the old GM dustbuster vans of the 90s, (incidently my most favorite van ever,) but smaller. But anyway, Welcome to here. Glad to have ya on board.
dw8. Your Mazda looks more like a wagon than many. Perhaps as you wander around the forum you will become addicted and buy an older station wagon to play with and enjoy.
Thanks all for the welcome. I would love to have an older wagon. Right now my passion is for a 80's Malibu wagon. With dreams of turning it into this. But I am about to acquire a Ford 302 engine to rebuild. Ford is my preferred choice of vehicles. And I am currently looking for a Fairmont wagon to put it in. Maybe I can transfer the design concept of the Malibu above to the Fairmont wagon. It's only a 5 lug conversion away.
I drive an '08 Taurus X and I definitely consider that a wagon despite my nephew's always quacking it's a minivan. Welcome to the forum.
It ain't a minivan if the doors don't slide. Never considered that! But I had Chevy and Dodge full sized vans that had swinging doors! This is so confusing! dw8, they don't trust just any riff-raff here! Be patient.
dw8...you do know you have started the "is it or isn't it a wagon" debate again... you were meant to be here...all wooden spoons welcome, with or without a wagon! Hope you enjoy the forums...cute car by the way.
Welcome to the forum, DW8. That's a nice Mazda 5. I like those a lot. Almost got into one after my '03 Focus wagon got totalled in late 2010. Back then, the earlier 5's had the same engine that was in my Focus (2.3). You've probably got a 2.5 in yours. As to your Fox project, you'll find a lot of support here. We've got quite a few members with Fox wagons. Dig in and go..... Marshall
