Well I recieved a 73 Gran Torino Wagon from a family friend after his wife passed away. They purchased the car in 1972 and drove it sparingly till 1994. It sat until a few weeks ago. Runs great 351C c6 9" I have lowered and installed wheels and tires. Now looking for rear facing third seat and going to buff the paint. It has a good patina, which is the style I like. See my other cars paint below and you will understand. Anyway what do ya think?

I think they're both welcome in my garage!

    Is that a 53 Chieftain?

Nice car I like the wheels; not a fan of anything lowered but that looks like a mild drop.

Excellent cars!! The wheels & suspension certainly gave the Torino some attitude. :2_thumbs_up_-_anima

You "received" the Torino? Does that mean he gave it to you? Wow. I'm a fan of factory stock original wheels and tires, but I have to say the wheels and the lowering on the wagon make it look outstanding.
Nice Poncho and I agree, the patina can indeed look very nice.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the orange indian on the hood ornament light up?

Good eye, the motor and hood are for my 40 sedan that I hope to have on the road by spring.

Those cars look great! I really like the Pontiac, I wouldn't do a thing to it. Just drive it. So the indian actually lights up?

I've seen that Ponch on the HAMB. Your in Colorado, right? You or a friend offered up another green Pontiac for sale if I'm not mistaken.
    If so, hello.

The wagon is exactly like the one my dad borrowed from a friend for me to drive when I was going to community college,
right down to the mill, drive-line, black steelies and poverty caps.
The car was fast and handled well for a wagon. It was fast enough to earn me the last speeding ticket I ever got in Omaha and handled
well enough to get me stuck in a big snow drift one night while trying to navigate a turn at the bottom of a hill. I didn't get to drive it again
after the drift incident ... I think I may have forgotten to mention that wagon in my introduction.
Man I loved that car, I really wanted to buy it but it's probably best that I didn't, I fear I'd have killed it or let it kill me.
Thanks for the great flash down memory lane. Great steal on the price too..

Sounds like some good memories.. Yes I am in Colorado, and on the HAMB. I was in Omaha in the early eighties and went to Bellevue West High School.

Thanks for the nice photos and nice info. I rechecked the early photos and realized that was a 1940 Ford hood. That's another nice lookin car you have. I had several 1939 Ford 2-door and 4-doors. Still have the 1939 Deluxe coupe I bought in 70's. Never owned a 40 but always wanted one. Seems like the 39's came along at the right times to tempt me.
Keep us up on all your toys.

I graduated from Central in '82. Bet we were at a football game or two at the same time but who'd have known...
Spent many days in Fontenelle Forest and down at Merritt's Beach in the summer...

I'm with CatModelT, great garage-full of goodness.
I do like the tires and the stance on the wagon. I'd be very tempted to go with
deep dish, black, powder-coated 'steel' repros with the stock dog dishes in the sizes you used
but I like your choice also.
    Keep us updated.

Merry Christmas, hope the snow doesn't get too crazy.

    Mark
