I'm really excited! I came across this beauty earlier today and had a lenghly discussion with it's current owner, very nice guy. He described the car as being a locally owned garage kept car sporting it's original paint and in pristine condition. I'll be picking up my new baby this weekend, can't wait!!! I'll be sure to post pics when she's home. http://ontario.kijiji.ca/c-cars-veh...-Ford-Crown-Victoria-Wagon-W0QQAdIdZ326543865
Dang, a fantastic price for that wagon. I liked this part of the ad best: "Cash only Marine biologists out at sea who don't have time to see it, and want to Paypal and have their shipper blah blah blah, don't waste our time. Thank you"
Wow, big time congrats!...but ya know the drill...... if we don't see pics of it in your driveway.....it never happened.......
Congratulations!!! Car looks really great...I'm guessing your NOT out to sea or a Marine Biologist...luck you!
Thanks everyone, I'm really excited about this car, my father in law has a 1989 Crown Vic, he's 83 yrs old, every year my kids help me buff the paint and detail the interior. I figure now that they've had practice on this model car, they can help they're dad with his! Pics to follow...
Beautiful wagon, looking forward to pics! Please do me (and yourself) a big favor FIRST THING, and check the TV (throttle valve) cable bushing, and if it is the original plastic piece REPLACE IT with the upgraded bronze piece. This goes for ANY crown vic/grand marquis owner with a fuel injected 5.0 and AOD transmission. If that plastic bushing fails (and it will), the throttle valve cable becomes unhooked from the throttle body. This feedback from the throttle body is the ONLY means an AOD uses to control line pressure. Driving even just a few miles of this condition will toast an AOD transmission. Don't ask me how I know this. http://cardealerforums.com/alt-auto...out-ford-aod-tv-cable-passing-gear-cable.html http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1998230 http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1855436
Yup....same applied to my Lincoln Mark VII. Simple fix and there are mechanics out there that are unaware of why these trannies are going down. Put a new tranny in and the problem is still there if you don't change the bushing. And DO use the new brass one. Nice looking wagon, Heritage! If you get it you should be arrested for grand theft auto!
Thanks for the tip Dogbone, I'll be sure to have that changed, I'll also let my father in law know to change his if he hasn't done so.
