That's cool, my grandma had a set like that, but her chairs were brown.

Hey does some one have a white, slim lined telephone with last-number redial facility, or Royal Doulton with the hand-painted periwinkles? :rofl2:

The pin-up is referred to as my 'girlfriend' by my friends. she's my favorite of my pin-ups, but I've got a thing for redheads.

EYES.......As for me, my wife and I both had Cadillac surgery and lense implants several years ago. Okay cataract. Always thought my wife would look nice with implants!---:rofl2:----But, July 1st I attempted to put my right eye out with a large (30') tree branch. :( Since then I have had only one eye. Poked the eyeball back and down when the lower socket broke. The lense broke out of the lense bag and is now sitting in the bottom of my eyeball. Damned, it even hurts to write this! ---If I had the original lense I would be in more trouble. It would have deteriorated and caused infection. Many tests and I finally go Monday 3rd to eye specialist. Then hopefully to bone specialist to repair the eye socket.--------So, I have been playing on here and everywhere with only a left eye! Did you know that you can see 20-100 without a lense? Protect your eyes. They are very important. ------I love old pin-up girls, I'm married to one!

WOW, Cat...you and your wife have been through a lot! I'm sorry to hear of this. Will you ever be able to see out of that eye properly again? My sister had the laser eye surgery to correct her eye sight. People do it all the time to get rid of wearing glasses. She went blind from it! I was going to do it because I hate wearing glasses, but, after my sister's disaster I will never try the laser routine.

    I EYE Ieeeeeeee!

Sorry about your sister silverfox. There is always a chance of something going wrong, even when having dental work done. My wife has been thru more than most people would believe. (After all, she's married to me!) But we are doing well for our ages and smiling every day! :bouncy: One son and our daughter had the laser to repair their eyes. Wife, me, and a million old farts in Florida got the catarac surgery then actual lenses in place of the original lenses. Gets easier and less problems everyday.---------As for my accident, the doctors said they get 1 or 2 every day with lenses that are forced out the rear of the eye pocket from hard blows. Not all sports related either. Not many are the implanted lenses either. Most old people don't do stupid things with tree branches! --------:( About the repair work. The facial bone surgeons told me that the socket can be repaired and all or most vision returned with eye surgery.--Hope to find out Monday. Sounds like real fun!:rofl2: Thanks for asking. :nohijacking:Ooops, what was this thread?:slap:

Hope all goes well for ya Cat and you get some good news.

However, if nothing else, you could always get an eye patch...

Thanks Xavier. Don't need the patch. Still have the eyeball. And still have the lense. It's just floating in the bottom like a miniature frisby in a globe. aaarrrggg! Tried standing on my head and bouncing but didn't work. Like playing one of those carnival games. Can't win. :slap: I've heard of pirates telling a yarn. But never saw one selling it! Arrgggh!

    Pin Up Girls

You guys noticed the pin-up photo on the desk - did you miss the photo of the girl in pink on top of the TV set (2nd photo at the beginning of the post)? No lamp blocking it...

---------:DYou people sure are alert, kinky, nosey, observative---or all of the above. I could barely tell pinky was a pin up girl in the picture on the TV. After all, I was looking at the antique furniture and equipment. ----------- Again, thanks everyone for the concern. I love this site because there are caring members here. Just like those who have always bought and driven station wagons. ----------- :idea:That description of mine about the pin up gal in the picture on the TV in the living room of Caprice Estate reminds me of a song............"The girl wearing nothing but a towel and a smile in the picture on the billboard in the field along the big ole highway." Or sumethin like that! :29: You have that one Caprice?
