Hi everyone - Just came across the site and joined up. I'm a pontiac guy - and love the full-size cars from the late fifties through sixties. I've had a few pontiacs over the years...GTOs, GP, and Bonnevilles. My favorite cars have always been the wagons that I've owned -- two Bonnevilles (so far). I put two pics in the photo garage. I put alot of miles on the 69 as my daily driver for years - loved that car. Currently, I've got a 67 GP 428 convertible occupying my only storage space, but am hoping to accompany it soon with a 59 Bonneville Safari project (and another garage stall) -- I'll let you all know how that goes -- great site...glad to be a part of it. Pat

Welcome Patsparts. Always great to have Poncho fans on board. The GP convertible sounds like it's very rare.

Welcome Pat - man, gotta love those big ol Ponchos! Speaking of 69 wagons, check this one out in El Paso...price is a little high, but as mainly a Ford guy, if you look in the grille to the left of the Bonnie emblem, is that a 428 emblem and is that where they placed them? This car doesnt have an engine, but it should be rust-free.

I also have a 428, Buy a Ford 428 in a Merc S-55! We have a little in common with our displacements!

    Thanks

The bonneville wagon (posted above) is great. Too bad somebody swiped the engine.

I've gotta put my 59 Safari plans on hold for a bit - got a $3200 maintanence bill on our Volvo S60 driver. Amazing. Crazy. But its a good car...and wife compatible. Thanks for the welcome!

Out of ignorance I have to ask what $3200 worth of maintenance on a Volvo include.

Yep, that's where I remember seeing them on the Pontiacs of that era.

Hi, and welcome aboard! Like Krash said, I'm another big fan of the Pontiac wagons. I've been driving my '67 Tempest wagon daily for the last 8 or so years and have loved it. And I've finally gotten my '58 Chieftain on the road, but still have a long laundry list of stuff to do on it. But I recently decided I needed to move up to a full size wagon, so I'm looking to sell my '67 because I did find what you might consider an "interesting" project.

I bought it from the 2nd owners who gave me the receipt from when they bought it in '68 off a used car lot. It's a '66 Bonneville wagon. Which, by itself is pretty great. But the first owner checked off all the right boxes when he ordered it. This included lots of options but the biggies being the 421 engine, tri-power, and a 4 on the floor. Ahhh...Those were the days.

But, back to you... We'll look forward to seeing some pictures of your past cars and your 59 project. Let us know how we can help. And being a pontiac fan, I wouldn't mind seeing that '67 of yours either!
