'74 Cadillac wagon - Honest opinions wntd

It is a dual action tailgate, and you can see the latch piece in that step so I don't see why it wouldn't fold down. It has the release levers on the side and in the middle, just like on my old Vista Cruiser, so I'd probably say it will work. And the third seat shouldn't really be a problem either. The seat cushion is hinged at the seat edge toward the rear of the car, it will flip over that way and then the seat back folds down flat into that space. Not exactly how you picture it working but that's how my 69 and 66 both work.

It would be a cool ride though... But for that I'd like to see the underside of it myself. Seals and things like that don't scare me but Michigan rust would.

 

It looks like the weather seals are good, at least the ones visable. It the underside is just as clean as the rest then 9500 seems like a great price to me.

 

Hey Prof...did you go see this wagon? Have it inspected by a good car guy? Buy it? What's up?

 

Didn't get a chance to go see it. Chuck was going to try and swing by and take a look at it for me. He was going to take some photos and send them to me and/or post them on here. Haven't heard from him.

 

Oh, and it does have a dual action tailgate. However, I'm not sure if the rear seats fold down or not. Didn't ask the owner. If they don't, I'm not really interested.
