Maarten wants to sell his 1979 mustang and buy a 1964/1965 Ford Ranchero. He has a good engine/tranny/etc/etc (coming from a 1975 mustang) that he wants to put into the ranchero. Now we are watching this one in Oregon: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Ford...dZp5197Q2em7QQitemZ320731401611#ht_520wt_1156 I know it is not a wagon, would become his daily driver, he is needing a workers car he can throw all his stuff in. What bothers me is the negative feedback the seller got in the past. I would only pay via escrow.com, don't know yet if he accepts escrow.
I'd need some more/better pictures than what he has there. Where are the three small rust sections that were patched a while back? Pics of the floorpans and overall close up pics of the body? What does the bed look like? It looks great in those pictures, but what does it really look like? To me it looks like he is showing you what he wants you to see in the pictures and hiding what he doesn't want you to see. Either that or he sucks at taking pictures. Needs driveline, driveline included? Is he referring to the driveshaft?
Can I pay via escrow.com? It is safe for both of us. See: http://pages.ebay.com/help/pay/escrow.html Is the original drive shaft with the car? This is his answer: Thanks for asking. I am not signed up with them nor have anyone I know used them. Will need to stay with the payment methods I listed or wire transfer. Thanks again for the interest. I do have the drive shaft but it will need u joints and a yoke for the transmission end of it. Drive line is included with the car. He does accept cashier's check, our shipping company can do that for us but for a fee of $250, quite expensive (not for a $20,000 car but it is for a $3000 car).
