It's here in Manitoba, Canada. Garaged for 35 years! My great uncle had one, brand new, and they were THE CAR of the day. All Original too! $5,400!!! Sounds pretty decent for a good restoration. http://winnipeg.kijiji.ca/c-cars-ve...op-Coupe-Trim-etc-all-here-W0QQAdIdZ280537541
I think I read that but can't remember the name. My daughter recommended it to me. Looked it up... 'From a Buick 8' pub. 2002
That Riviera is at a great price. Well worth it. Even fully restored it will not command the upper levels of Buicks though. The 53 Skylark holds that mark. How many early 50's Buick hardtops can you find now. I'd say not many. The Riviera was a gussied up Special.
Did you start up that Car Club? I can just imagine the imports the guys bring back. Drooling material.
The kickoff meeting is tonite. All cars welcome, especially wagons. I don't think we have any Yugos in the area....very disapointing. Now I do need a wagon to show off more than ever. None for sale withing 100 miles (at a reasonable price). I'm always looking. I don't regret selling the Cougar though. Fuel injection is the only way to go with Ethenol gas.
One of those Russian Lincolns, can't recall what they were called. Rode in one once in our Capital. A French school buddy's dad was a diplomat. Rattled like a Mopar, but ran like a Cougar.
I had a 1953 2-door Special straight eight 3-speed. Smooth and quiet. Kid at the grocery store had a 1953 Skylark convertible. Always wanted that car! Must have been around 1960.:2_thumbs_up_-_anima
