Do any of you know a source for the side rear window moldings for the 78-83 Malibu wagons? My moldings are cracked and torn and are in desperate need of replacement.

Note: Motor is out, sanding frame and cleaning up under the car. Hope to have the fresh Monte Carlo SS V8/2004R in next.

Was a bit cold in the shop today so didn't work on it. Wheels came late last night, so at least the wheels will look good. Thanks to the forum for a lot of inspiration. I have a vision for the beast....now if I can "get er done"!!!

I've taken about 30 lbs of dirt and grime off already. My paint rep mixed the paint and I can start on the frame and underbody as soon as I get a warm day to spray. Getting the rear side glass molding is really critical at this point. Rust began to form around these seals and water is being trapped due to the poor condition of the rubber.

Heater, I don't need no stinking heater..... Yes, I do, just didn't have the heart to mess with it today. Maybe I can make some progress tomorrow.

I think I looked at it. I would like to find good new rubber if possible. I can always go back if I can't find good new ones.

Irace, looks to me like you need a front clip before you worry about moldings!!

Got rid of the front end to help with weight and maintenance....:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2:

Think of the paint I'm saving by getting rid of all that sheetmetal.

By mouldings, are you talking about the rubber weatherstrip for the doors?

No, I'm talking about the rubber around the rear side windows, in the wagon portion of the car. Mine are completely shot. Rust is forming under the seals and is beyond an eyesore.....
