All the new engine internals are here so I'm taking the motor apart and dropping it off with Seth at Abacus early next week (after I pull the accessories off). I'm still waiting on the head parts (Crower S3 cams, supertech valves, etc...)
    Slowly but surely...

    O_O Rice!

Take teardown pics if you're going to do a full teardown. :D

PPG, good choice. Do you happen to have any video of the car on the road with those straight cut gears? I want to know what they sound like before I get a set myself.

I don't have it installed. The tranny will be the last thing going on the car. Cost.... that final part is going to kill me.

Ooh, I know what you mean. Well, when you get it running with the PPG gears, LMK, I want to hear them. :)

Japslapr, are you doing a swap or a full rebuild of the current motor? I couldn't tell.

Sounds like fun. I hope you get the transmission sorted soon after the engine. Know a few people who have managed to pop their trannies. One even did with an almost stock WRX, just an exhaust.

It's a FP (Forced Peformance ) Green. 49lb/min. Its really close to the same size as the GT30r but is a stock location turbo. I will probably be swapping up to a GT13 (bigger than the 30r but smaller than the 35r) if the numbers aren't met (450+awhp).

Have to have a high redline when it takes so long to spool a turbo. I wont see full boost until the 4200rpm range.

Alright. Been awhile since I updated this thing. Because of problems here and there, I have had to wait quite a while. Things are moving along nicely now.
I had to wait for a damn shift rod to get here from Australia to get the tranny finshed up... but it's done now and installed.

PAR Dogbox. clutchless, flatfoot shifting FTW.

Long first gear. Should be around 40-44mph in 1st gear and then tighter ratios after that. Still on the 3.9 final tho and stock diffs. I wont be able to run any sort of slicks or sticky tire until the diffs are changed. Dumping at 6K+ on boost, if the tires don't spin, axles and diffs will have a fit.
[IMG] Motor is done and completely assembled. Rotated manifold to shorten up the I/C piping. Perrin Fuel Rails. No A/C.
[IMG] AVO turbo inlet hose, Borla header, 820cc injectors, 12mm oil pump. Gruppe-S up pipe with 38mm TIAL. Turbo is the Superzilla 55. Not much bigger will fit in the stock location.

    [IMG] Motor and tranny in.
[IMG] Battery relocated to the trunk. ZEX kit should be installed here shortly as well. 50 shot should help spool significantly.
    [IMG] Front mount in place.
Few other things in the works but you get the idea. it's actually coming along. We're definietly looking forward to actually seeing what this thing will do. Not too many 2.0l Subbie's rolling around making 450+... we'll see.
