Looks like James Dean had a wagon too (note the trailer). He died in that Porsche. No news on whether the wagon was on the scene at the time. .
From what I understand, it was. The Porche Spyder was on the trailer for most of the trip from Hollywood up to the race track. (I think he was going to what is now known as Laguna Seca Raceway, near Salinas..) The story goes that Dean wanted to DRIVE to the track. So, about 2/3rds the way there, somewhere on highway 46 (was highway 466 back then) They pulled over and took the Porsche off the trailer. The fellow driving the Country Squire that day was Dean's friend and famous Hollywood stunt driver, Bill Hickman, who much later was the driver seen on screen behind the wheel of the black '68 Charger in 'Bullitt'........
