The interior of my dad's 72 Kingswood looked just like this...in dark green. I like the perforated vinyl very much.

Yeah, unfortunately, Chevrolet decided not to upgrade the Caprice wagons seat material from the Impala wagons seats as standard, but did offer a luxury brocade cloth option on the 72 Caprice wagon... only in black and only in 1972. The only difference I can see in the interior of a 72 Kingswood and a 72 Kingswood Estate is that the Estate added the woodgrain accents on the driver side of the dash and had the Caprice symbols on the door panels and had the woodgrain insert on the steering wheel.
