Know much about cusps? For stargazers and astronomers and astrologers, its when two events approach each other. Take Mustangs and Falcons or Comets or Fox-bodied sedans and wagons, for instance. You probably know about lots of Bling mustang parts sites with stuff that fits your wagon. But did you know that there's one site chock full of hard to find clips, brackets, and all kinds of Mustang/Falcon compatible bits and widgets? Got love the replacement parts guys. http://www.amkproducts.com/Catalog_PDF.htm Here's one on classic parts (AC too) and brake parts, including parking brakes: http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/home.php You picked a winner year with that wagon. Get that rabbit foot and give it a big hug!
As the story was told in prior posts by myself I have gotten to know the prior owner's spouse...they again owned this wagon from the early 70's until 1991 (that was the last time it was titled)....she shot over some pics of the wagon back in 1981 and wrote me saying it had the 289 v8, factory undermount a/c, side standard mirrors, luggage rack, wire wheel rims, vinyl interior, 3 on the tree
Nice to have some mementos from its past life. Sorta had the same relationship with a farmer who actually gave me a 1955 Studebaker President coupe, as long as I let him and his wife take it for a week for a second honeymoon. He also let me use his tractor repair shop. One of the biggest grain farmers in the Province at the time. 10,000 acres in 4 farms, with huge equipment from all 4 farms. He repaired them and maintained them all during the winter, in this heated monster 'tool shed', including the flatbed semis that hauled them!

Rev, Come on man you need to put the fire under your butt and get r done! Think of it like a jig saw puzzle one piece at a time until the puzzle is finished....No really it has been a real struggle with this project ,and I have to keep doing a little bit at a time....I have also been selling some parts out of my garage to get a few pennies back in my pocket....Of course the garage will be filled back up with parts
In the beginning....I just refused to put it back together unless everything was PERFECT!!....well...the paint didnt sit right....if i so much as fart when i walk by...the paint chips and i just cant convince myself to re-paint it....its my Albatros...without a doubt and i cant seem to convince myself to JUST put her back together... Its my "bad marriage"...as much as i luv her...I hate her...she'll never be what i expected her to be?!?!? But recently I came to the decision...."to hell with it...I wana drive it again!" So...this winter...the process will be begin!!!!!! the Millenium Falcon will fly again !!!!! battle scars or not !!
Rev, you're eating to many refried beans. Cut down and the paint won't chip so much. Works for me. Trem Clad paint - anti-fart protectant.
Not much to report lately.....just trading alot of parts for other parts....got a hold of a spare tire cover and also radio feed supply wire for the stock AM radio that will go back in....ebay has gotten me some nice parts as well as selling them too...unfortunately even with a 3 car garage I don't have room for extra parts...pretty much whatever I think I will use in the next yr I will keep.....also keeps me from procrastinating on the fixes when I see the parts out in the open
Got a couple more goodies off of ebay for the wagon '65 Fomoco 2100 autolite 1.14 carb '65 Fomoco 2 barrel factory cast iron intake
