I gotta grip like an alligator

SF, 'til I tire of one or just get bored, not even deep pockets can pry me loose:yahoo:A fellow named Tom Monahan(used to own Dominos Pizza) Had a car show on Domino Farms property in Ann Arbor,Mi. back in the 80's. I and my 1 of 485 1970 Chrysler 300 Hurst were there. Monahan came whoopin' in in his helocopter, cruised the show in his custom golf cart and sent two of his gofer-dofers back where I'd parked and wanted to know how much for the Chrysler. After saying it wasn't 4 sale they ask if I knew who they were representing. I said yes and I also know he'd just paid 8.7M for a 1 of 8 Bugatti Royale 'bout 6 months ago and the title of MY Hurst is in MY Name and it still ain't 4 sale! I often wonder how they explained that to there boss when they reported back to him:clap:

    Sweet

Thanks K.K., Theirs somethin' 'bout head lite doors that puts me over the top. I have a pic of blended '90 FWD Imperial nose with an '82 Rampage.(Remember them 'lil 1/2 ton haulers) I went nutz when I first saw it! Looks like it grew there! I think I finally figured out that who ever did it did serious body work with an Imperial by shortening the roof, subtracting two doors, and adding a bed. FYI, I'm in the middle of doing almost that much body work, an engine swap including under hood and under dash harnesses, and custom paint to an '83 Plymouth Scamp pickup. Yeah, I still think I can save 'um all.

Hey Norm, just a comment you and Handy may find interesting - my '57 Safari was located in the 'Peg.

I was passing through on a client trip and the hotel clerk was keeping an eye out for me in the local adverts. It was the best $20 tip I ever gave anyone(y).

Barry, I was at the Junkyard yesterday and met the owner of the '1957 Chevy Cafe', on Transport Road, out by the Floodway. He and the yard owner are old buddies, so he tweaks his rides at the yard, about 1 mile down Redonda and south. Apparently (I haven't been yet), there's a whole bunch of the local 1957 chevy and pontiac owners (Safs and Nomads, as well as HTs/Conv. and Sedans) that hang out there! I think I found my kind of coffee shop! :thumbs2:

Definitly a must do pics kinda place.

We are thinking really hard of a trip across Canada next summer, then down the US east coast, and work our way back home. No time limit for travel other than making sure things at home are taken care of properly. I can see a stop in the 'Peg for a visit to something like this as a real potential although at the moment we are thinking of avoiding any city with a population greater than 75K. Take the small roads, lots of stop-overs in the little towns as almost all of them have a municipal campground, and see all the fun things to see like travel when we were kids. We have at least one of our car club couples who are interested in joining us and I suspect another one or two might be up for it.

Will let you know if we do this and are heading that way. It may be fun to zip up for a bit of a day. My wife has never been east of Regina. Want to see the Atlantic provinces and spend time pretty much where ever we get the urge along the way.
