Gramps is still my favorite! ‘73 was a huge change for FOMOCO all the way around, except Lincoln.

    Thanks Mark.
Thanks Bill. It's my favorite too. It's a permanent member of the family. Brownie is for sale and the 67 will eventually be for sale as well.

All three are beauty's. I wonder what type of all time 4WD the blue one has. There aren't any locking hubs sticking out of the front wheels. It's also got later 78/79 hub caps.
The first one though, with that two tone orange and white... :whew:
    Man that is perfect.

If it has full-time 4WD, it should have the New Process case, I want to say 205(?). If it has that, the hubs will not have locks, they're permanently locked from the factory. However, don't quote me on that, I have been wrong before.

Edit: I just went through the pics, the t-case shifter has the normal pattern, but the axle is the 'ball' style knuckles, and you can still install permanent hubs on that axle; it just means you have some drag turning the front diff and driveshaft in 2H.

My bet is that wasn't even close to the reserve.

Back in '80, when Mom wanted a new pickup, Dad and I test-drive a leftover orange and black '79 F150 2WD, and Dad recommended the truck to Mom, but Mom hated the colors, said they were Halloween colors. So, Chebby it was.
