'77 Pontiac Bonneville Safri Wagon

Being new to this BB I am not quite sure of what all is required.
My purpose is that my mother who no longer is driving and is the original owner, has the subject car. It has been garage kept, has just turned 40,000 miles and still runs great. The car has not yet been cleaned!
She may be willing to part with her wagon, I am her son and have been trying to find some idea of an appropriate price to consider should she give it up.
I thought by posting some pics of her car and exposing it to many wagon owners, someone might give me some idea of what kind of price to ask?

Dug- It looks to be a very clean and well kept wagon. The mileage is very low for a 32 year old car, to say the least! it's probably worth about $500 but I'll give you $550. (ONLY KIDDING--ONLY KIDDING!!!!!)
It's really worth much more than that. I was just trying to make a lame attempt at a joke. The thing to remember is that it's only worth what ever someone is actually willing to pay you for it. I'm by no means an expert on these things, but there's alot of guys on here who are, so you should be able to get a pretty good idea of its worth. Again, I'm no pro, but I'd say you could probably get somewhere around $4000-$5000 for it.

 

It looks like a fine car and well taken care of. But, we need more details.
Motor size 350 or 400?
Options?
Everything work as it should?

Need pics of all sides of the car, any flaws, under the hood, floor boards, frame rails, in the 3rd seat area etc, etc....

You have definitely come to the right place.
That 77 is in beautiful condition for its age. Hard to find an all original car that looks that good anymore. That alone makes it worth some $$.

We keep our classified section well stocked, so you should be able to look around and see what other wagons are selling for.
If it were mine, I wouldn't even consider letting it go for less than $2-3K.

More extensive photos and info would be helpful.

Welcome. But I would suggest you keeping the car. One that is such low mileage a year or go would get top dollar. The economy is weak and getting more strained. I hate to say but right now your wagon is about a $4,000.00 car if you can find someone to buy it for that.

Keep the wagon you never know when things change or you may need it

 

If it were a 76 Bonneville/Catalina I'd definitely have an interest in a big sister for it.
Right now, I'm still out of work so even a Hot Wheels car is out of my price range.

That's what's required. But hey don't go away. You don't have to own a wagon to be here. It would be nice. If you stay around you'll want one for yourself 'cause we are so much fun. You may even keep Mom's ride for yourself! That would be good.

Is that a factory CB microphone and radio? That's pretty rare too. Good luck.

 

4???....not in my world...even with a CB

 

The CB radio is factory installed..... the radio still works, however the tuning mechanism is weak and difficult to manually change the station.

 

I just found the original sticker for the car and it is a 5.0 litre - 301 CID - 2BBL V8. The clock does not work, the manual tuning on the radio is difficult but still works plus everything else works including the air conditioner and the car will be inspected again this December. There is no tear in any of the leather. The one picture of the right rear wood trim panel has a small scrape

 

I would be mighty surprised if the clock did still work. That is pretty much expected.

Good chance the tuner just needs some contact cleaner.

That has the dual action tailgate if I'm not mistaken, right?
Opens like a door or a tailgate.
