The building still exists for the one we had here, but it hasn't been an A&W for at least 20 years.
It's still an operational drive-in, but it's just not as good as the original A&W.

    From above....
What you're looking at here is a picture taken outside the Ford Motor Company Styling Studio, where they design their cars. The Thunderbird looks to me to be an early styling study for the 1957 model. The wagons in the background also appear to be styling studies for the '57 Ford. Pic was probably taken around mid - late 1955 or so.

As soon as I saw that the other day I thought to myself "I'm glad they didn't go with this and we got what we did"

The National Bank of Washington was one of the first banks in the State to open a “Motor Banking” branch. It is across the street from the Bank at 12th and A Streets in the City of Tacoma.

I was wondering if you might. I assume it is no longer there.

Near as I can tell, this is where the Motor Banking branch was. Nothing left of it today.

Looks like all that’s gone. Oh well progress. The motor bank was sure neat. Looks like the 3 story mother bank building is also leveled. Is that bank still going?

In this case, though, more like "regress," as a lot of banks are no longer offering drive-through service, what with all the online banking people do.

Here they’re combined with Long John Silvers. The burgers are good but they’re always out of root beer and the fries are a little fishy.
