    Wanted to say hi.

I recently bought a 1987 Buick Electra Estate Wagon from an old timer in town.

A few reasons for the purchase:
    1. I run a charitable car show in memory of my brother. This was our 8th year but my first year showing a car of my own
    2. Its a Buick. My brother’s first car was a 1975 Buick LeSabre Custom and my father bought a 1939 Buick Century to show in our car show
    3. Its a wood chuck - my brother had a thing for wagons and wood chucks
    4. Its a 1987 - thats the year my bro was born
    5. Its in great shape, was a daily driver with a little petina but no rot.

I joined this forum because I actually need to part with the wagon - baby on the way so I need to pull my money out. Hopefully I can sell this and get back into another wagon when timing is better.

Looking to learn and see if I can maybe locate some body parts to fix it up before I sell it.

    Welcome to the forum, Seven20!

That Buick is a sharp-looking wagon, and is the 'primo' version of all the GM 'box wagons' from '77 through '90. If you have the 'Electra' interior versus the LeSabre interior, even better!

What do you have to fix? Might be some guys here that can help out. Put up a post in the appropriate repair section of the forum....

    Welcome. :Welcome:
What part of the world are you in?

    Those are horrible cars. :D

So, you have a bunch of sentimental reasons for buying that specific car and you seem to have a fairly nice one. The reality of kids (I have two) is that there will never be a time "when timing is better". You will probably regret selling it.

    Whatcha fixing?

Welcome aboard Seven20. That looks like a really nice wagon. I like the color combo.

Same. And I have to concur with brother Darcane.
