Would be nice to see the way back area plastics and carpet but less than $4K almost seems like a steal these days.
The 2.8 V6 isn't BAD, but I remember with my '83 Pontiac 6000 company car, I was always wishing it had maybe 30 more horses under the hood.......
Yup. Rode around in plenty of these in the high school days and while they were reliable for the most part, they were definitely not powerful. Better than the Iron Duke\Quad4 motors but that wasn't saying much.
If you REALLY like these GM A-body wagons, look for a Buick Century or Olds Ciera with the 3.8 under the hood.
my college roommates dad worked for GM. He had a red celebrity wagon (maybe a 1985) . it was quit the chick magnet car. LOL
The fact this car has a cover on it tells me the level of care someone showed this car. I had a celiberty in high school but I used it like a truck. One time the trunk got filled with brake rotors, talk about testing the limits!
After years of seeing these things down on their heels, condition-wise - it's refreshing to see one that has been taken care of. The basic premise of this car is sound - lots of room, decent on fuel, great visibility - but once the Taurus came out, these things looked suddenly old hat. I think this would be a decent daily driver.
