Heres some 70's stuff - When was the last time you saw a 1980 Gran Fury?(its been a long time for me). The 72 Ford pickup they were just bringing in...I wonder what that truck would bring at Carlisle? That one will probably be for sale, as they put some of the more salvageable, saleable stuff for sale up front to see if it sells. To tell you the truth, it'd be neat to have the Fury, as most were cop cars....

There is no way that truck should be in a scrap yard! It is beautiful. The LTD hardtop looks to be pretty solid as well. The Fury looks miles better than the last of those cars I saw around here, too. I'm so jealous! Cars there just don't seem to rust, and here, unless you don't drive them half the year, they tend to turn to piles of brown flakes!

I pasted this thread to Leadslead; he needs the header off that Galaxie for his cop car resto. Along with whatever else he can afford.

The rest of them look solid and dent-free. That Buick looks like a restorable of intertest. Who's junking these perfectly restorable cars? I hope, they haven't ended up in Derbies, since then. Let's get Jaunty's attention. He's not that far and might go in there to see how things look

Sorry guys, this is an old post. However, this Saturday I'm pulling the 4Bbl intake/heads off a 65 Galaxie with an FE down at that yard. Car was a rustfree sedan with 352-4V and factory air. It's kind'a shame that it's in there.

It'll be an old post, once those cars are gone. It would be interesting to get to view a recent photo session of what's still in that yard (hint, hint)

(hint, hint) a lot of sh!t 80s-90s stuff. Every so often, some oldies make their way into the yard. Not seeing oldies is actually a good thing. Because to me, that's a sign that people don't have to junk a dad's or grandfather's car just to make a mortgage payment or food on the table. A sign of a better economy. During the depth of the recent depression, I worked in an area of town with many yards, and some of the stuff I was seeing was heartbreaking for an old car guy. But I know why it was done - I went through a rough patch myself, but not for long thankfully.
