No doubt that's a crusty car but "Living in the Northeast" doesn't always apply to cars if they're garaged and not driven in winter, like was done to my Mercury by its original owners who also live in Pennsylvania about 50 miles from me. That 1966 Ford though, it looks like it's been driven in winter and parked outside most of the time and not kept up whenever something did come up.

Those wagons were notorious for the frames rusting to nothing and nearly breaking in half. Most rust belt Fords did that in the mid sixties, even worse on the sub frame cars. The cars would just sag in the middle behind the fenders like an old swayback horse. My brother sold one to a house painter for 150 bucks in '78. The frame broke in half a couple of weeks later and the guy wanted is money back.:D

A friend of mine who sells cars where he lives in central NY also winters here in NW Florida. He's brought many cars and trucks down here to sell with frames ready to collapse. Some don't look bad from the top.

With a full tank of gas, that car would bring $26 down here.

The sad thing Krash is that this is by far the best-looking '66 Ford Galaxie Country Squire that I've seen within easy driving distance from me in the 5 years or so that I've been watching Ford Galaxies.

    Now, isn't that sad?

Yep, had a few of them broken frames too. But considering this car is along the lake in "lake effect" country, with lots of salt to boot, it is amazing it even survived. You gotta give it props for that......maybe $2 large is a little steep, but remember what part of the country this is, and think if you're in that area and need a good parts car. Time marches on boys, I 've said before - I have a hard time wrapping my head around a $10,000 '79 Camaro Z28, but there they are.....

This makes me feel like an old man!

Since the price of gas has gone down I'm changing my offer to 25.00 if it still has a full tank!

Looks like this CS has the remotely adjustable mirror. It's hanging there by the cable.

I'll wait for the price to drop to $1,000 before driving to see it.

There are so many "ifs" with this wagon (if the frame is solid, if the engine can be rebuilt, if the interior isn't trashed, etc.) it makes it impossible to set a precise price. But, based upon the exterior photos provided, and the options listed, I have bought better for $500-$1,000 with good interiors, in Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio.
