beautiful 1/18th scale 1957 Caballero thru American Excellence. The model maker is BoS, and if this is anything like the big BoS Imperial I got for Christmas, this is going to be a beaut'.....check it out. not cheap though. https://www.american-excellence.com/v2/?p=details&i=193747
Seeing as how this is my most favorite wagon of all time, I'm going to have to save up my nickles and dimes for this one. I was going to get away from the larger 1:18 scale for my diecasts, but on this one I'll make an exception. Kinda wish they offered different colors, but oh well.......
Yep, I can see that....just about in 2004 i was down at a yard in Southern NM that was cleaning out and inside the yard were TWO fairly complete '57 Caballeros that I coulda had for $500 each. Had some gems there...if I only had the sapce then.....I was smitten by a 63 Invicta wagon in bronze, and I think's it was a 9-pass. too......
You should have done that deal any way you could have. That would have been money IN THE BANK. As-is, I'm sure you could have flipped them (even if they were only parts cars) for $2k each. Restored ones are easily going for $100k........
Yes we all could have bought collector cars cheap and in good shape years ago. We shoulda, but we didn't have the money, room, or time. Did I ever tell ya about the 1954 Corvrtte in the barn, The '63 split window, or, the '55 Nomad? I coulda and shoulda but the kids were hungry and the wife wanted a new winter coat.
