Anyone install a Rear Sway Bar on a Chrysler Wagon? I have a '66 TC and found this on P-S-T.com I imagine it should make a world of difference on these big boats! Also wondering how it's installed before I make the purchase. PST is a big supporter of the For C-Bodies Only forum, and others. They've helped bring big "C"-body suspension parts to market recently. I really don't think they'll steer you wrong.
The picture they show is generic but the rear sways on leaf equipped cars could be attached one of two ways, either the sway bar clamped to the frame rails and end links attached to brackets clamped to the axle tubes near the spring perches, or it can be reversed with the sway bracketed to the axle tubes and the sway bar ends attached to brackets bolted to the frame rails.
I've often wondered why Ford wagons never seemed to have a rear anti-roll bar,whereas the sedans had them.
They were optional, even on Police cars. You can still find them around. Most folks that got Trailer packages, on their wagons got them installed. My Fairmont swaybar came from a Fairmont cop sedan, but that's a bigger one than what came for regular wagons or sedans.
