Nice and original. Notice the weathering on the fibreglass wood trim. I'd rather have a car all original and showing its age than restored to perfection.

Comes complete with "retired old guy" hat. Just the thing for retired old guys. :)

I have my doubts that this is being sold by the original owner. The seller is "showkidillac". I recall a '64 Country Squire being sold by a "bluekidillac", also on Long Island, in 2010. Same guy? :hmmm:

$28k a bit steep. But I'd buy it if I had $28k to throw around. :yup:

I like that a lot. But at least $20,000 more than I like it.

That was my car from 1990 until March of 2014 when I sold it on eBay to the guy in NY. He said he used to have one and that he was really happy that he found one that he could enjoy for many years. Now he's tried to sell it? Sounds fishy to me. He's trying to get about 3 times what he paid for it. The car is only worth about $10,000. He doesn't mention any of the rust issues with the car either.

It is a very nice car and I hated to sell it but I have one I restored that is more rare. I feel that the guy didn't represent himself truthfully to me when he bought my car and that he could represent the car more truthfully too as he tries to sell it to someone else.

Who doesn't love the white with the red interior?
For that Kind of dough you would think that they would have cleaned the engine compartment, and included more pictures of the engine.:49:

A flipper got me many years ago. I sold him a 34 Ford Roadster for $35K and he flipped it at Barrett Jackson 6 months later for $53K. S**t happens.

Still if we get what we asked or close why does it matter if a "flipper" makes money off it? I also wonder if they usually get those higher prices .

Sometimes I believe those higher asking prices just make others ask more for theirs too. Like the over priced big auction sales do.

No, I agree, they have the resources/desire to promote your car on a larger stage and can see a profit. At least more of us get the opportunity to see some of these cars that we might not have otherwise. I just don't like being the guy that gets juked in to selling a car to a supposed "collector" who turns out to be a flipper. You know, the old "it's the car I've always dreamed of owning" trick.

I agree Martyk98. At least be truthful about it. Don't lie and play games.

I sold my datsun 510 wagon a few weeks ago and it was online for sale for almost 3x the price within 2 days... best of luck to the new owner
