My quick intro: in the 70s dad had a brown Pinto wagon that pulled a 14" Shasta trailer all over the Rockies. That was my intro to the wonderful world of station wagons.

My first car was a lime green Vega wagon in 1982. I put cragars on it , dropped in an Iron Duke 151 from a Monza, tinted the windows, and basically beat the crud out of that car until I ended up in a ditch 3 years later. Bent it up pretty good! Heck I even lived in that car for 3 summer months by a lake...

I have loved the station wagons ever since, but didn't buy another one until a few years ago when this 68 Satellite came into my life. Like most other car nuts I have way too many projects so it now has to go too... It wont be my last one though...someday I'll pick up a 62 or 64 Mopar B Body wagon....

Welcome aboard. I hope you stick around after you sell the wagon. I posted a link to your for sale posting on the 1968-1969 Plymouth Satellite Wagon Fan Club page on Facebook.

Forgot about a Willys wagon I owned for a year back in the 90's too. The first 4 speed I ever rebuilt.
I'll be around here for after the Satellite sells. It's a tough one to let go. The car looks really nice as it sits, but could easily be turned into a 'Road Runner' wagon as I've seen and they look bitchin. My plum crazy Super Bee got painted a little less than a year ago and my better half said something's gotta go if I'm going to finish that!

I worked in a resto shop for most of the '00's but now just work out of my house. There's a couple of wagon fanatics here in town that keep me busy, I'm getting a 63 Plymouth wagon in here in a week to hang trim on- will post pics

Welcome! The Pinto wagon actually pulled the 14 ft Shasta? How did it do?
I have a 67 Country Sedan and plan on pulling my 14 ft Shasta this summer.

    Best of luck!

Sure did, granted this was about 1975 and the car was only a few years old. Dad & me still joke about how crazy & carefree we were back then. We were living in Denver & went on 2 week fishing trips all over the Rockies in that thing!

Before we knew any better people pulled RV's of all sizes with cars of all sizes without sway bars or equalizer hitches. They weren't driving 80 MPH either and being passed by 80 MPH 18 wheelers.:slap:

It seems that people now are in more of a hurry than ever. When I have pulled campers in the past, I have learned to tune out the cars behind me and ignore the evil stares.

I am planning on trying my best to hit the backroads where I don't feel compelled to do over 50.
