Besides being WAY over priced the seller has little clue as to the blue sticker
on the bumper..... Was not a gov't owned/operated vehicle ...

    Agree on overpriced.

    Look at that "NAS Memphis".
I was there long long ago in a galaxy far far away.

That is funny about that sticker. I actually found one of our old unused ones in an envelope around the house a year or so ago. I'll have to dig that up and make sure it doesn't get tossed.

Nice looking wagon but way overpriced.
Personally I don't care if Elvis owned it while he was recording in Memphis. Stickers and license tags mean nothing to me.

    Sticker

Wouldn't that sticker be a parking pass type of thing?

I believe the Department of Defense vehicle line as much as I believe the 43K original miles...........
I never knew them to have high optioned car, with wood grain.........the 63 Fairlane I had to drive in Germany was a 6 cyl/3 speed on the column, rubber mat, blackwall, poverty cap, type of car.........and it was the batallion commander's (LTC) car.

You put that on your front bumper or windshield to identify your car so you could get on base.

So by you saying that, the car was not a Military owned car but someone in the Military that worked at that base owned it.

    See my post #6.
Elvis spent a lot of time in Memphis and he was in the Army. I am beginning to believe this wagon was owned by Elvis and stored in a Memphis barn .
So as the old TV show said THE PRICE IS RIGHT. :29:

Well yea. And mixed drinks besides.
Iced tea without sugar chased down with Coca Cola.
That Coke will disolve rust so it may be hard on an old man's insides. :pub:

Mostly I was wonderin what a Government decal has to do with the worth of a station wagon.

    No price Yet..

A few of theses posts have said the wagon is overpriced but none has said what they think its worth ... I'm thinking 7/8000 or am I still high. I think it would be decent buy at 5000.00
