what happened to my apology thread

went to post some more pics and the thread is gone . did i do something wrong?

I'll take the heat for the thread disappearing initially, since someone used the notify moderator button, and after giving it a quick perusal, I decided that I would take the entire thread down, and leave it for Stefan to sort out. In instances like this, as a moderator, one has a few choice, one to try to determine who started, and who followed up with pouring gasoline on the fire, two, allow it to stay, and watch it grow into a major firestorm, or three, to remove the thread in its entirety. I chose the safest one of the three, and made it go away temporally. Unfortunately, one of my short comings is not knowing everyone on a personal level, since I mostly read, and rarely get into the bantering of the website. As a moderator, one has to keep an arms length from the general membership, so as not to have any biases when issues arise.
