This car was bought on Craigslist a few months back for $2,000
I passed on it because of no rear seats and cracked dash and some
    other stuff...............................

Wow. $2500 price increase and they still didn't bother to vacuum out the dirt. Interesting combination of power seat and manual windows.

Seems like a great buy at $2,000, but the $7,500 asking price is too high. I could see $3,500-$4,000 if it is everything it claims to be, but otherwise it is just too much money in my opinion.

If it needs paint and woodgrain as it appears to, I'm thinking the price is a touch high also.

Otherwise, though, it looks like a nice car. It has the 429 4-barrel, A/C and the power seat. I'd like to find a power seat frame to add to my wagon.

The upholstery looks good, as does the sheet metal and chrome.

    Well now, there's a deal..................................................not.

I could see a speculator buying this for maybe $2k originally, then putting $1,000 or so into it, spruce it up some (mostly a very good detail - in and out), putting it on the market for under $5k. But this is probably the guy that gives all flipper sellers a bad name.....

If I could, I round up a bunch of wagon friends, make an appointment to see the wagon, then we'd all go over and laugh in his face.

Don't know if this will help anyone interested in the car. I also looked at purchasing the car and spoke to the owner about 18 months ago. No rust, but lots of fade. Craked dash as w as mentioned. Worn interior with fade. Too far away for me to consider but the price was reasonable. I just couldn't pull the trigger. Car had been sitting in the carport for a very long time (tires were not quite round...). Phil

I am quite keen to know more about this one as Ive sold my '65 Country Sedan and I am seriously considering buying it but despite initial contact with him through Craigslist where he gave me his phone number I've not been able to get hold of him since.
Phone goes to answer so I emailed him with a load of questions a week or so ago with no reply so sent the email again yesterday fearing that it hadnt reached him but still getting no reply.
In the meantime the price has come down to £4750 so it must still be for sale.
I am in the UK so maybe he is worried about dealing long distance but surely an email to let me know he doesnt want to sell to me would be courteous?
Its a shame as as long as it's what it appears to be in the ad Id go for it, Ive got the shippers on standby to collect!!
    Weird.
Oh well, Ill just keep searching.

His Craigslist ads are now deleted. Perhaps it has sold? If you do hear back from him, and want someone to check it out in person, I might be able to help. I live in the Atlanta area.
