Here are some photos of an old Jo-Han '57 (oops, make that a '60) Plymouth wagon I picked up as a "built up" on ebay a while ago. I did some cleanup and minor repairs, but decided to leave it alone as stripping it and starting over with new paint etc. would have just been too much work and I Kind of like the way it looks as a "survivor". My diorama could use a little rebuilding too. It's getting pretty beat up but still works.







Yep, they sure grabbed that old '41 bumper and rear valance panel from under the tree.

 

I like your find, but it's actually a 1960, you may be thinking of 1957's slogan "Suddenly it's 1960". I wish I had bought the Jo Hann reissue of that and a few others that came out in the 1980s.

 

You are correct. I don't know why I thought it was a '57. I just checked my photo file and sure enough even the box art picture says '60 Plymouth as does the molded in date on the rear bumper. Oh well, Senility 1 - Joe 0

Guess this is one of the reissues. The rear axle is plastic not metal.

 

And I think you corrected it as quickly as I made my post, now you have it in parentheses. Frankly, I love Plymouths from 1957 to 1961 quite a lot, don't recall seeing any models of the other wagons though.

I remember building one of those reissues back in the 80's. I painted it to match the car in the picture on the box as close as possible. I still have it. The manufacturer also re-released a kit of the 1961 Olds F-85 wagon, but I never got that one.

Wish I could say I built this one but I didn't.I bought it last year at a car show swap meet.The bottom is marked with the maker's name(will have to post it later as it is out in my shop)who is sadly deceased.Turns out he used to make similar models after he retired.This one I don't believe was finished as the side doors were marked but not cut open as the rear doors were.also there was some unfinished look to the front fenders.I was going to finish it but when I found out more about the maker I decided to leave it as is as a tribute to him.Hard to get an idea of it's size but it is about 20 inches long.Oh yes and I paid $20 for it.
