Hi Guys, Saw your site and thought I'd join for some "wisdom" on what to do. I've got a 1972 Chevy Nomad, 4 door, all original from what I can tell. I bought it from the original owner, approx 220K miles, beautiful-ugly-faded original orange. Old guy was moving, health problems, etc and needed to move it. I have every registration slip from day one (he kept everything), roof rack (I took off for now) and he told me he had the engine & transmission rebuilt and I believe him because it runs really well. I was going to keep it at work (Edwards AFB, CA) just for a runner car but I'm thinking it might be a waste just sitting out there, especially if someone is interested in it? I tried to add some pics but the files were too big. I'll try later after I figure out how. So I guess what I'm wondering is (after you see the picures) is it a keeper? If so, I certainly can. Again, I'm open for suggestions. Have to run for now but will be back soon. Thanks for the advice in advance, Scott
Definitely a keeper. Scott. You've got all positives with that wagon, and the only downside I can see is that it isn't 'done'. Loads of aftermarket support for those wagons, even a lot of N.O.S. parts still available. Powertrain and suspension options are plentiful. And being out there in the desert, I'm sure the basic body and frame is in pretty good shape. Would make a terrific father/son (or daughter) project, too, if you have at least one of those. So clean out the garage, get organized, and get to work. Oh - and lots of help here for 'ya. Welcome to the SWF! Marshall

I just looked it up. I never knew that the Nomad name was used on some of the '68 to '72 Chevelle station wagons. Cool. Yes, we want to see photos!
I know what you mean, the quarters for my wagon came from a Nomad in Texas. I'd like to see a few pics too, I have a soft spot for these wagons. aboard.
72 Nomad Thanks guys. Still trying to figure out how to load/convert these jpegs to something smaller. Believe it or not, I don't have Facebook, this is my first Thread (ever) and normally I just attach any photos to our email but this is limited in size so i guess I have some research to do first. Soon as i figure it out I post some pictures
