I think you are right, Saf. I haven't seen him for awhile. He last posted on 8-26 and he was here yesterday but didn't post.
He's probably fending off those rogue Missourians who come to Chicago to hassle him! Just kidding X - hope all is well with you and yours.
country boy in the big city? given his lifestyle, i bet he has made some goth friends and doesnt want to hang with us anymore...we aren't cool.
Can't get much KOOLER than us. If it would help, I'd dye my hairs purple and polish my nails green. Maybe they found a spooky cemetry in Chicago to have picnics.
Maybe giant spiders have made a web between him and his PC and he's unable to find a way to get rid on them with out killing them. http://news.bbc.co.uk/earth/hi/earth_news/newsid_9001000/9001866.stm ewwwooooo X...a filter mask and can of RAID! Come back we're missing you.
I don't like spiders and snakes (hey, someone should do a song about that!), but that was a cool article - amazing find. That web could probably catch a bird. Hopefully X's absence is because he's doing something fun, not dealing with a giant spider invasion. I've got a garter snake in my garage, hiding under one of my cabinets. Found him this morning and can't get him out (easily). I know they're not dangerous but they still give me the creeps! I don't want to kill it - I just want it to go away!
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/earthnews/3353693/Giant-spider-eating-a-bird-caught-on-camera.html EEEWWWOOOOOO! I found a brown garter snake by the pond today. It didn't mind me patting it. Have you got a insect net with a long handle? It might be just as happy to be out of your garage as you would be .
All snakes to me are King Cobras - I'd rather kiss a spinning fan blade than touch a snake! No, I don't have a insect net -and the handle would have to be so long for me to use it that the net might as well be attached to a pole vault! I'm going hose out my garage tomorrow morning and see if I can't persuade it to leave.
I hear ya, Denny but Jake and Elwood spend a lot of time with me in the garage and I don't want them to find it. They're not very gentle, and if it moves, they try to herd it/catch it! A couple of days ago when we were on our walk at the lake, Jake caught a bird that lays in the grass - it flew up in front of him and he jumped up and knocked it to the ground with his front paws! He had it pinned on the ground and let it go when I called him, but it was kinda cool watching him do that!
That's what dogs do. It's natural. At our son's this July their cat caught a mouse in the basement. Brought it up to play with us and show us what it had. I guess the mouse finally ended up lunch.
