they are comfortable,i have the same seats in my 97 explorer and great on long trips
I drove it from FL to NC and back towing my GTS when i bought it and my girlfriend at the time went with me and she could kick back and relax.
I also drove up here to NJ from FL but made a detour to Tennessee to get some parts for my GTS and it's great driving long distances.
I picked up a set in Florida for my GTS off craigslist for $25 and then got the power base for the passenger side with the switches and paid another $25 for that stuff and later I found the correct side cover for the one with power but has the manual lumbar crank and paid about $5 so I only have about $60 in those with the hardware I bought to bolt them in.Eventually i have to pay good money to get them upholstered with the rear seat as it's getting done custom 2 tone with inserts in the middle
These seats have the power pump for the lumbar so it will be easier to find the side cover for the power seat set up. Also I only need to buy SEM vinyl paint and not have to recover them so my only expense will be the paint, the power base for passenger side, switch harness and hardware to bolt them in,
I already done the conversion in my 72 Sport so the wagon will be exactly the same and know exactly how to modify the feet on the base to bolt up to the Gran Torino seat riser on the floor.

I first did the passenger side on the GTS and after I figured it all out the driver side went alot quicker and now doing it again I can put in both seats in the time it took me to do the initial set up of the first one.

I really need to get some good maroon seats out of a 94-96 Roady wagon. The seats in my Cappy are killing me. I mean, BAD. I can't get in that car and drive it 20 blocks without my back going out. At my age it's really causing bad problems. I love the car but the seats are nothing like the Buick seats for comfort and fit. Right this minute my back is killing me from driving the car 3 nights ago. Have to go to the chiropractor every time I drive the car. A shame, too. The seats are nice looking in there, but, they don't fit me right at ALL. I hate to change anything because it looks so good and the seats are cherry. A great car but I need better seats. My back is killing me as I type.:(
