For some reason I missed this thread?! to the wagon train, gul. That's a nice Torino...one of my favorites!
72 Gran Torino Nice solid buy ! Like it. be glad you have a manual back window:banghead3: Just fixed mine. New motor , new slides on the window regulator , had to make my own ! Not easy but it works great now. Good luck and welcome
Welcome to the madness Jeff! That wagon looks great! Sedan delivery huh? Interesting project, keep us informed. for opening post pic rating btw. On a side note, what can you tell us about the old gas station? Don't see those in GA.
a far as I know it's been like that for many, many years. My younger Brother use to drive past it on weekends coming home to visit from college in 98 and said it was closed down before that. would love to buy and fix it up and put it back in service but doubt the state will let you use the old style pumps, but retro is the only way I would go with that
here's some photo's with the Torq Thrust wheels that were on my 72 GTS gives the wagon a whole new look
did a test to see how the paint will shine up I cleaned the car the other day with pressure washer so I didn't want to use the electric buffer ad splatter compound everywhere so I just hand rubbed it with compound and a micro fiber towel and put a coat of wax on it. here is the results before is the door and after is the fender
Nice job, it looks amazing! Stay hydrated especially if you are planning to complete the job this weekend. E-
Jeff. How do we miss some of these threads and intros? Sorry I'm late. I had a red 72 Gran Torino wagon. Bought it to pull a mid sized RV. Sadly the RV was a long single axle and I got talked into trading the Torino on a new 75 Ford truck, also red. Our Gran Torino was black inside. looked great with the red exterior. I sure miss that wagon. Hopefully your cleaning and waxing will pay off. What a difference. Love those wheels. Same as I have on our 1939 Ford.
