Hi all, I'm afraid I'm the one responsible for the influx of Classic Chevy guys. I ran across this site the other day and told the guys on another forum about the racing wagons. And, well, here we are! Hi RJ and Henry! Though I have a 55 Handyman, my wife drives a 98 Taurus wagon. I also have a 66 F100 truck and a 32 3-window coupe hot rod project car. My first two cars were 55 Chevys and then a 69 Camaro, 64 El Camino and then I got off track and started driving a Toyota truck. For back and forth to work, it was fine. I was ill for a number of years and now better and bought this Handyman off Ebay a couple years ago. It looked nice and ran well. I thought it would be a great car to drive and have fun with while I got back to work on the 32....well....the 55 needed more than I thought and have been upgrading and redoing, etc. I'm on the trail of a 57 Nomad. If the lady can talk her husband into selling it.
You and all your Chevy friends are welcome here. We have fun even with the ones driving non-Fords. The wagonmaster drives a Volvo and we don't care either.
Tn_Longroof TBird is the head of his local chapter of the Mercury Cougar Wagon Club, and he drives a truck, goes by TBird, and restores the Cougar. Now, we just have to get more Mopars in here.
Henry, Yep, I have 2 mid 70s Cub Cadets (1000 and 1450) and a big Snapper (1650A) tractor. I rebuilt the engines on all these a few years ago. (the 50 in 1450 and 1650 indicate hydrostatic drive) A 90s Simplicity with a front loader attachment (and power steering) and a early 00s Craftsman. The Craftsman and the 1000 Cadet, we use to mow grass. The Snapper and the other Cadet I just have. The wife and I used to ride them through the woods. Who needs a 4-wheeler? The Simplicity is, well the front loader...in that pic, you can see a small bucket on the 1450 Cadet and just make out the bucket on the Simplicity. I'm kinda partial to Internationals, old ones that is, my Dad worked at the Memphis Plant for 30+ years. He still has the '48 Farmall A that I mowed their yard with for years and a 60s Cub tractor. And a 40s era John Deere B. Angie, we just visited friends in Overland Park a couple weeks ago.
now ..how am I supposed to get that picture out of my head???? Tn.....and thanx for draggin friends with ya!!
