I dont think we've ever done it on here.. so...heres the guidelines! 1-what and why?...short, simple, to the point! and the question is...."Whats your DREAM CAR?"...? Mine...is a 57 Ford 2 door sedan! Injector stacks on a BBF,4 spd, Straight axle, rear end set forward and the motor set back...a REAL Old school gasser!! Why?...I grew up on a dragstrip...there was one that raced back in the 60's/70's..called 'the Gunfighter'...she did big wheelies and was a handful to drive!! always wanted it...40 years later...still do
Mine is a 57 Ford 2 dr wagon with a 460 and AOD transmission and a Nakid Blonde drapped over the hood.
short n simple...thats what i'm talkin bout Willis!! but wouldnt it be hard to drive?......the car that is!!...(rimshot)
My second dream car would be a 1958 Imperial LeBaron Ghia Wagon with the 1958 Chrysler 300D 392 Hemi with the stock dual Carter AFB's and stock Solid Lifters. I'd have to use a Hearse body for the back end, and have a fuel truck to follow me, if he could.
They make replicar body parts for a chevy frame. It must've been a plumber's nightmare under the hood to split up the pipes on either side because it was either a straight six or eight, can't recall. Today you could drop a 300 HP V6 under there and rumble along just nicely, thank you very much. And the Cord had a Rumble seat/cargo area, so I could make up a convertible station wagon top or use the usual 2-seater top on trips. hehehe.
You'd spend a day just changing the plugs! I'll bet they're smooth running though. Lincoln's V-12's are still around. They were really smooth running. You could put a glass of water on the hood at idle and the water just made concentric waves. A V-16 would be even smoother.
Think about this Idea. A nice clean and painted V-16 with 8 chrome pipes going into 1 on each side no hood ane a 1880's Hearst body behind it.
OK for a rock star, like the band the Greatful Dead. I'd want to drive like the wind. A Ferrari or Testarosa engine or even a Corvair engine with the Turbos. Pipes are easy on those. Rev's gonna run us out of Dodge, now that we stole the thread on him. C'mon guys save our bacon here and post your dream cars. Puhlease.
