I've got another question... Where exactly is my horn located?

And how much does one spend on an exhaust system normally? Say... flowmaster 40's?

Your horns are located inside the driver side fender by where the battery is. There will be 2 of them. I think I spent $600 or $800 for true duals when I had them put on. I they used stock replacement mufflers which I thought would be too quiet but I think is just right.

    :D

What was different about your exhaust (besides it being duals) that make your car sound that way? You said they used replacement stock mufflers- did it have a cat on it?

No cats and it runs right off the stock manifolds. They also exit straight out the back. They used the thicker wall tubing for it as well. Here are some pics.

    Hey Ya'll

Just signed up and noticed that the last post here was nearly a year ago. Just wondering if anyone was still around.

Well, more like 9 months, William - and this is only one thread - in the 'introduction' section. These threads tend to fall down to the bottom as time goes on - you're only 'new' once.

We've got literally hundreds of active threads, in all sections of the forum.

    Yup...what KK said.
Ordinarily, new members post a NEW THREAD in the Welcome Wagon section. As it is, since you posted in an old thread, you will likely be missed by most members. Sure would be glad to see you post your own new thread so everyone can say hello and get to know you. :thumbs2::yup:

And some of the threads actually contain some useful, well thought out info! (Instead of the usual inane banter, lol!)

    Per request, an introduction! lol

    Hiya guys,

Came across your site by accident while searching for parts for my latest 4 wheeled charity case. Checked it out and thought it looked rather cool, so here I am.

You'll have to bear with me, I'm new at this forum thing.

What got me started was an 87 Caprice white/wood that a kid had gotten from an older couple that stopped driving.
He had big plans for the car, (all of which made me cringe) but no money to put them or for that matter even the car as she sat into motion. With the assistance of his parents prodding to get that "thing" out of their drive, I brought the old girl home.

I view it more as a vehicular rescue than a purchase.

Two years later, I came across the 88, same color scheme, I always thought it would be fun to have twins.

And then just last week, I found the 85 (another white/wood) with 60k on it, triplets, Yeaaa!

Unfortunately, the 85 had tangled with a deer out west someplace before I got her and is going to need some body parts, But other than the header, hood and L fender, she's near perfect.

Anyway, that's my story, or at least a small part of it.

And here all this time, I felt so alone with my wagon fixation! LOL

    Later,

    William ---- in South Florida

:Welcome: Wanderlust. Well you kinda got the idea ;). Great intro, there are others who collect cars by 3's. The next thing folks will be asking you for are a few pictures of your wagons. However before they do, what you need to know is your still in someone else thread, and although a few folks(names escape me right now) get off topic and take a thread all over the place, it's kinda nice for you to have your very own intro thread. :)
So if you go out of this thread to the main welcome header page you will see a button on the top left that says new thread. Just click on that and off you go with your own thread. Then others will know your here...I bet you thought working on your wagon was going to be a challenge. :biglaugh:
No worries. Your not the first to get turned around and you won't be the last. Now let's have a looky at your wagons...:D

    Hi Fannie,
Thanks for the info, I am off to "hopefully" start a new thread.
    Wish me luck!
