Looking forward to checking out some wagons and getting a few ideas for wheels. I now own and will be restoring a 1967 AMC Ambassador wagon with a factory 343-V8, 4-speed !!!! I'm told there might only had been 11 built with a 4-speed and might be the only one left but I don't know. It will be blue and I might tint the windows. It is a very solid car now with rebuilt engine, All parts seem to be with the car so look forward to taking my time putting this baby back together. I look forward to learning a lot about these wagons and reading about yours.
It will be a lot different then owning my old 1969 Hust SC/Rambler but just as much fun in many ways !!!!
    Thanks,
    Matt

If you know how to photoshop some cool wheels and some medium blue paint to give me some ideas feel free am I'm not sure what I want to do yet. I don't think I will put the luggage rack back on.

Welcome! I think that '67 Ambassador is the best-looking wagon AMC ever built, period.

I agree. The 67 Ambasador is great looking. Thus why the 67 Marlin is so good looking too.

I hear you, HOT this time of year. Gets too hot for the motorcycle even let alone putting the wagon back together yet.

    Welcome

[IMG] :Welcome:4-speed. Being that rare I'd suggest keeping the roof rack and keeping the wagon 100% original. But I just got thru answering another post telling that owner to do whatever he wants. After all, these toys are your own to play with as you wish. What's important is have fun with it. PS, If it's too hot in Arizona come on over here, it's only in the upper 90's!

I would vote for keeping that wagon original...roof rack and all. Not my call, though.

I believe the roof rack is in poor shape so I would need a new one if I put it pack on. I want to make it nice and it will most likely become my daily driver when completed. Believe me it will be mostly stock and easy for thr next guy to make totaly original again. I just want to enjoy it out on the open road again.
    Thanks,
    Matt

Looks like it was a 2bl car when new but will now have a 4bl . The engine has been rebuilt with ssome head work and a better cam. Car has good gear ratios also.
