http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri2BG2qOvCg An interesting car. If they make a wagon, or when they do, I suspect it will be a hit with the urban crowd. You know, buy a Crosley wagon or Morris Travler and then buy these guys' stuff and wow, talk about a neat putter around town wagon you'd have. Oh sure, the added weight would slow it down, but you could go into lighten mode..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ri2BG2qOvCg
I had never heard of this car. This clip sure is a good promo for it. EDIT: OK, Saf....all these ZENN cars WERE wagons! The company decided to up their profit by cutting them in half and make two cars out of one.
Well.....26 IS faster than 25. By the way....when they showed the car driving and doing turns it looked a little "tippy" to me. I don't think I'd want to throw that car into a turn at 60.
It's legal in BC but not else where..???? I'm gona do some digging because this just doesn't seem rite in a way. In BC where I live scooters have to be able to atleast travel 30mph to be on any road but they are not legal on the highways.....so how does this car become legal at 25MPH? People get ticked when you only drive the speed limit, how ticked are they going to be in rush hour single lane roads when you can't even reach the standard speed limit of ....30mph. More digging needed.... several years back there was a car company in Vancouver BC who made electric cars and nobody but the Ontario goverment liked them for provintial parks service..camp grounds etc. The parks people loved them, ans as parks go the speed limit is well under 20mph. Transport Canada made Ontario get rid of the cars, these cars could do 30 MPH but acording to Transport Canada witch governs park roads/all roads in a way they had to get rid of them because they could not reach highway speed of 50MPH....something to that efect, memory has fogged but ...something to that effect.
What else can I say???? Good name for it - Tippy. It sort of looks as though it would fall over easily. Tedy - It is my understanding that only a few municipalities have actually approved them, like Royal Oak, and they are only allowed on city streets, not highways. I think Vancouver may have also tentatively approved them but they can't go on any Federal or Provincial highways. I can see a metropolitan with one of these power trains zipping about, or an early VW Bug.
It was just a Microcar with the Zenn company drivetrain. That video is four years old and they don't even make them anymore.
