"You always get your way, at Ourisman Chevrolet" so said a smiling Susan Gailey who for 17 years starting in the late 60s. pitched for the Marlow Heights, Maryland dealer. She was everywhere in the D.C. area- radio, billboards, tv commercials. Sadly, her daughter Samantha Gailey, was the teenager Roman Polanski was accused of drugging and raping. According to the internet, Susan is still alive at 82, living in Hawaii, happily married, and worth millions. I hope so, as a student at the Univ. of Md., College Park in the late 60s, I and every guy I knew, had a bit of a crush on her.

Five grand for an ugly Elco? Wow....

I'll have to see if any of the Washington registrations for Babe are still in the glove box; WA shows the original purchase price on it.

I was in the drive-thru line at McD's last night, and a late-model Ford F-350 crew had an 'Ourisman' decal on the tailgate. Still had Oregon plates though. Wife asked where 'Ourisman' was. Told her I had no idea.........
