Imagine if there was no landing at D-Day. Do you think that this kind of stuff would be happening in Europe today?:

It depends if the Nazis 1) stayed in power all these years as the Soviets did till their fall, and 2) if they stayed ever so despotic, as the Soviets were.

It could only have changed for the better, once Uncle Schick was gone. Ultimately, it would have come to a showdown between the German regular army and the despotic Gestapo. Had the Gestapo managed to get the upper hand, which I doubt, they would have executed every general, admiral and any other officer who was anti-Gestapo. Even the most elite SS regiments couldn't match the firepower that the combined Wehrmacht and Kriegsmarine had. That would almost be equivalent to ICE agents trying to fight off Navy Seals.
Let's not forget that Wehrmacht generals were willing to aid the West, at fighting Soviet imperialism

    Welcome to D-Day Conneaut.
D-Day Conneaut is America's premier living history event and one of the most realistic and educational annual reenactment of D-Day - June 6th, 1944 and the largest WWII reenactment in the US.

Since 1999, this annual recreation of the amphibious Allied landings upon the beaches of Normandy, France, has thrilled thousands of spectators. The event occurs within the beautifully kept grounds of Conneaut Township Park, Conneaut, Ohio, and assembles over 1,200 re-enactors from across the United States and Canada. Remarkably, the 250 yard long beach and sloping adjacent terrain closely resemble Omaha Beach in Normandy, France.

All we need to do is for the Germans to dig in and start firing those MG-43 live rounds

That funicular incline is on my bucket list; I've been on the Victoria Peak tram in Hong Kong, and have stood at the base of the location for the one in either Duluth or Superior (I can't remember which town, as alcohol was involved).

Wow, the photos of the reenactment are pretty neat. That looks like a P51 in the first shot.
It would be pretty amazing to experience something like that.
