Long story short, it's totaled, got the '79 Holiday on the road, and now I've got an engine and gotta find something to put it in. I didn't see a light change and ran clean into the side of another car. I wasn't hurt, nor was the other driver, but my wheelbase on the drivers side is 5" shorter. Didn't want to keep the '79, but I didn't have a choice after this. And if you're interested in more details on what I've done with the '79, I'll redirect you to a thread I've got on classic olds, dunno if I'll keep up with it, or keep the car, but no one seems interested in the thread, so I doubt I'll keep updating it. http://classicoldsmobile.com/forums/eighty-eight/95618-project-thread-my-79-holiday-88-a.html Guess I'll just keep rollin' and find me something else, might find a wagon body to slap the engine in, that or I've got my eye on a Cutlass that's been sitting somewhere for a long time since we had to get rid of it... This cutlass, was supposed to be my first car but that fell through: http://s55.photobucket.com/user/Dead-Reckon/library/1984 oldsmobile cutlass supreme?sort=3&page=1
You didn't do the other car any good! Glad no one was hurt. Now you can look for a station wagon and get on with it.
Thanks, I got lucky, was doing about 40 (The speed limit through there) Or the Cutlass that was supposed to be my first car, see what comes up. I can get the cutlass for dirt cheap, and have a lot of fun with it. Eventually I'll get back around to a long roof, but heh, for now I'm having fun with whatever I can get cheap.
