Either he is on something or hoping someone else is on something. 1969 CAMARO SS Z-28 COMPLETLY BURNT. CAR HAS 12 BOLT REAR END, MUNCIE 4 SPEED TRANS, FRONT DISC BRAKES AND SMALL BLOCK MOTOR WITH HEADERS. I HAVE NOT READ THE ENGINE CODE. SO I DO NOT KNOW WHAT ENGINE IT HAS OR IF IT IS ORIGINAL. CAR HAS A SCRAP TITLE. 4200.00. https://detroit.craigslist.org/mcb/cto/5471023926.html
Wish in one hand. My dad used to tell my brother and I that when we wanted something. By the way nice Camaro!
SS Z-28? I think it's just a Z-28? if it is one. The car and engine looks right. Why would you not check the numbers and see if it is a DZ302? If it's a DZ302 it may be worth it, matching numbers to the body it's really worth it IMO. Somebody will restore that car if so, you can buy anything for Camaros, including body shells.
Two questions: did Z-28 cars with the DZ302 come with power steering? And didn't the DZ302 intake have the original-style oil fill chimney on the front? The air cleaner hides the carb, so you can't see which one it is. It should be investigated, and if it is a Z-28 with a DZ302 from the factory with the correct original engine, then just the engine and VIN are worth the asking price.
